Vanessa of Fashion Dolls at Van’s Doll Treasures tagged me
for World Doll Day which was last Sunday, June 14th.
The rules are
as follows:
1. List 3 favorite dolls from the ones you got last year.
2. List 3 dolls currently on your wish list.
3. Tag 5 people to do the same.
My 3 Favorites
First up is The Barbie Look Gold Gown which was a gift from
Mr. Jewell. I knew the moment I saw her that I wanted this doll in my
collection, but I never intended for her to be a major character in my stories
because… well at the time I never planned to write any. This beauty actually inspired
me to start writing photo stories. And as D7ana pointed out, she steals every
scene she is in.

Next up on my favorites list is Jazz Diva Barbie Doll. She is a GORGEOUS doll and fully articulated
with the most awesome accessories ever. I could not pass her up. She is another
photo story star and the camera loves her.

Finally, is The One World Doll Project's Prettie Girls Lena- a gift from my son. One look at my profile photo,
and it is obvious that Lena makes the list. Lena is my doll persona. No, my
real name is not Lena, but she and I have other things in common. I need to get
her some more camera time. Here she is with her handsome husband, Pastor Jamal Joyner of Trinity Community Church.
My 3 Wish List Dolls
Barbie Basics 2.5 Model No. 04
So pretty and fully articulated. I have a name, but no story
for her just yet. That’s part of the reason I’m in no rush to get her.

Fashion Royalty Fast Track Victor James
What a hottie! I have an awesome storyline ready for this guy
whenever he happens to arrive in Dollton.

The Midas Touch Poppy Parker
She didn’t win me over right away, but the more I saw her in
promotional images, the more she seemed to speak to me. I have a name and a
storyline for her. All I need is the doll. I’m putting funds aside in case an
opportunity to purchase her for a not-so-ridiculous price should pop up.

And now I am tagging the following doll enthusiasts to join
in the fun if they'd like to:
- Georgia Girl (We missed you at today’s doll club meeting!)
- Brini
- Muff
- Phyllis
- Smaller Places (I've been checking and haven't seen a post from you in a while : )
Thanks for the tag, Vanessa..this was so much fun!!
Hi Jewell! Great list!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe three girls from 2014 are stunning! And Victor...how I could forget to out him in my list! But I can't but only male dolls, can I ?
Kisses Billa
Billa, of course you can have a list of only male dolls. You already have a fabulous collection of ladies. I think they'd support your decision to get some more equally gorgeous guys.
DeleteLovely dolls. Thanks for sharing ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt was my pleasure : )
DeleteHello from Spain: you have a lovely collection. I like your dolls. Interesting Tag.We keep in touch
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marta! I just noticed the new profile photo- very nice!
DeleteThis is a great list too. I must say The Barbie Look Gold Gown did not appeal to me at first but has grown own me and I have not purchased her as of yet. You really did make me fall in love with Lena. I gifted her to someone who didn't realize that there is this whole world of AA Dolls so she has relocated to another city who's "caretaker" loves her to death, so I am happy. I'm hope to post tag in the next two days. My Singer has been demanding my attention so my doll have had to wait until this creative spurt slows down.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great gift! I'm glad Lena's caretaker is enjoying her. Looking forward to your post whenever you get around to it, and I hope we'll get to see what you've been making during the creative spurt.
DeleteJewell - I posted mine yesterday, and I tagged you, Brini and Muff too! Great minds think alike! I love your list. I have been on the lookout for that Jazz Diva as well, but so far, she is way overpriced for me or she had fallen victim to a body swap! I hope we all get what we wish for!
ReplyDeleteI hope you find Jazz Diva at a price that you can swallow. Her accessories really are incredible. I have plans to work all of them into my stories somehow.
DeleteOooh, I would love that Jazz Diva. She's fabulous.
ReplyDeleteShe certainly is.Plus she's got those killer accessories- several wigs, lingerie, and more. She was one of my priciest purchases, but I have never regretted it.
DeleteLena just exudes personality -- I see why she'd be relatable!
ReplyDeleteThank you for tagging me! I have done my thing now and am catching up on everybody's blogs.
I agree. I need to think up some stories worthy of such a lovely doll. She will be making an appearance in the next episode of Walter and Deirdre's saga, so I guess that's something. I'm heading over to check out your responses.
DeleteLove your Jazz Diva. And I have always regretted not buying BB 2.5. She is way out of my budget now. Cutie pie Victor is very nice, too.
ReplyDeleteThat BB 2.5 didn't appeal to me right away, but she grew on me. And you're right, she is being offered at ridiculous prices now. Cutie pie Victor is, too. One can only hope...
DeleteI love all of your favorites. I so regret not getting Jazz Diva! She is such an awesome doll with great accessories. I will keep an eye out for your wish list. Thanks for the tag. I will try to get something together within the next couple of days.
ReplyDeleteI missed you guys on Saturday as well. I will definitely be there next month.
Thanks so much for offering to help me keep an eye out for my wish list items. FYI: My next post is dedicated to you. Just wait till you see what it is.
DeleteWhat a great list! I love reading these and seeing what everyone's favourites are!
ReplyDeleteThanks, jSarie! I love reading everyone's lists, too.
