Finally...My Lammily Doll Ships Next Week!
Below is the email that I received today. The images below are not mine. They are part of the email. I pre-ordered my doll back in May or June. Throughout the process, I've received updates on the progress of the doll. Needless to say, with months of waiting, I've had plenty of time to choose a name (Lily Nickols) and back story for this new resident. I already checked out the website mentioned in the message. I think the fashions are pricey, but I may order the Scotland Adventure one, because it's my favorite. I can't wait to see which of my curvy gals can share clothes with Lily.

Jewell, I got the email today also! Her face is a bit different that the computer model, but I think she looks pretty good. I will have to order some of the fashions and maybe make something for her too as we know she won't be able to share with Barbie (LOL)! I think it is kind of funny about the "marks" package. I definitely will not be giving my doll stretch marks or cellulite or even acne!
ReplyDeleteThe difference in the face was the first thing I noticed, Phyllis. She looks younger than the digital prototype. Don't get me started on the marks package- LOL! At first I thought it was the most ridiculous idea ever, but then I realized I could use those cuts and bruises in my stories.
DeleteOK so it is she! Wonderful, thank you. CM
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! Glad to help solve the mystery : )
DeleteI saw this on Yahoo and went to the site to check her out. The video of the little kids aside, it will be interesting to get adult collector's take on her in person.
ReplyDeleteThe video was overkill. I'm anxious to get my hands on her and post my two cents. I like most of the fashions, but dislike the fact that they cost as much as the doll in some cases.
DeleteDear Jewell may I add you to my blog roll? Thanks CM
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! I'll be visiting your blog again, too. It was late when I found it, so I didn't get to finish reading through your posts.
DeleteHi Jewell, I look forward to read your review about Lily Nickols! the quality looks pretty good, I'm not sure about articulation......it looks a bit stiff.
ReplyDeleteI agree that she looks stiff. I can't tell whether it's poor posing or the way she's made. They get an A for trying, though. I'll withhold the plus or minus until further evaluation.
